So, it goes something like this.
There is a virus going around at this specific moment.
It didn’t hit you, but by watching the news or talking with people who are fearful, aka external stimuli, you start to gradually develop fear and worry of catching it.
Or, if not catching it, you can easily see it spreading around the world and cause a huge pandemic with many people dying.
Then this fear gets bigger and bigger, because that’s the only thing that you hear on TV all day.
This fear is causing your body to stress and to not work properly, even though you were healthy as of that moment.
Your body creates stress hormones that travel throughout all its systems and TURN ON AN ALERT.
YOU ARE IN DANGER.
When you are externally in danger, the activation of your immune system is not the first priority of your body.
When you are externally under threat, your SYMPATHETIC NERVOUS SYSTEM is in charge, doing what it does best.
Boosting your muscles, heightening your senses, increasing your blood flow, rising up your heart beat.
It is something like an animal instinct protecting you!
However, this alarm is false, there is no real threat. It is all in your mind!
But your body has already spent all its energy activating a fight-or-flight response, as it is called.
And if the time comes that the true invaders enter your body, it doesn’t have the energy needed to attack them and heal you.
And that is how you end up unprotected.
IT IS NOT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM THAT FAILED YOU.
BUT YOU FAILED IT.
You focused on negative thoughts created by your imagination and you have spend all your energy on being in full alertness, leaving your body weak and unprotected when the true problem comes.
So, what do I suggest instead?
TURN OF THE TV.
FOCUS ON POSITIVE THOUGHTS that bring beautiful feelings.
If you cannot, then practice MEDITATION, where you let go of all thoughts.
TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR BODY by eating nutrient-dense foods which help your immune system be strong.
AND LOVE YOURSELF. UNCONDITIONALLY.
